Yes, the names of the characters were intentionally made the same as the names on My So-Called Life. This is because our series started out as a parody of Quarterlife, and that show was created by Marshall Hersokovitz, who also did My So-Called Life. So it was a little inside joke - I'm impressed that you got it because not many people do!
We have 7 more episodes of 2/8 Life finished, and we're planning to debut them soon, so keep checking back!
